Anything and everything by:

Stephen King
J.D. Robb
Nora Roberts
Laurell K Hamilton
^ My favorite authors!

Read their series and books:

Kelley Armstrong
Keri Arthur
Brit Blaise
Clive Barker
Scott Smith

Some Dean Koontz (picky about him tho).
All of the equine books I own and the ones I don't. Lol.

The classics are always nice to read. And Mistress you are definitely right..everyone should familiarize themselves with as many as they can before they are dead.

And a BUNCH of others.

Soooo, my favorite book is "A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess because well, books that tend to get banned always rule. Some of my other favorites are "Lord of the Flies" and "Maus"

Does anyone in here aside from me read Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series? If not, you should check it out. Start with "Guilty Pleasures", then go to "The Laughing Corpse", "Circus of the Damned"... ect. It's a really good series.

I also agree that Twilight is a good series.

I'm also working on the Otherworld series by Yasmine Gallenorn, and the Night Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

When I first joined this forum, a user asked me if I got my user name from that series of books.

I didn't, though. Being a 40+ year old Disturbed fan is a guilty pleasure for me, hence the name.

Getting back on topic, I've been reading (and re-reading LOL) Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt series of action adventure novels since I was 14 years old. I also like Stephen King, Joe Hill (King's son), and Michael Crichton.

Well let's see here... My favorite book of all time is House by Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti. (No, it's not about the doctor on TV. It's a horror story.) Those two also have several other awesome books written solo like Hangman's Curse and Nightmare Academy for Peretti and the Red, White, Black trilogy for Dekker.

I also enjoy Shakespeare. Shut up, I know they talk funny.

And I am utterly baffled by how many people on this forum like Twilight. And I'm not a biased critic either, I actually read it. I liked the beginning of the first book because the characters were interesting, then when the veil is peeled away they're just bland pitiful characters who are obsessed with eachother's looks and smell. Then the climax shows up with Edward to the rescue and I think, "Awesome! Maybe this book can redeem itself!" Then the author totally wastes the opportunity by having NO FIGHT SCENE WHATSOEVER. Come on! This is just my first impression in a nutshell. When I finish the books I'm going to write a full review on the series, then the movies. Separately, of course.

And as far as Stephen King goes, I liked The Shining (the movie was terrible), but the rest of his novels can burn. He's really NOT that good.

Hey, you're entitled to your opinion. "Twilight" isn't the best of the series IMHO either. Personally, I like Eclipse the best of the series. You get that big fight scene between Edward and Victoria. Well, more like an Edward monologue then him and Victoria kinda dance a little, then Edward rips Victoria's head off. But, one of the young wolves gets to have a killer fight scene.
