Hey Q Rockers, the Korn/Disturbed concert has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 6th. David Draiman, lead singer of Disturbed, lost his voice. Instead of giving a subpar performance, the bands have all opted to reschedule. Please let your friends know about this!! If you already have tickets, they will be honored at March 6th show.

Q945 Rock Station has just announced it.

David must be feeling so bad about this :(
I hate hearing that he's blowing out his voice.

They're just touring so damn much. Didn't he say they were going to tour less? It really sucks for him to have voice keep going out.

Ah man not again!

It's gotta be the Cedar Fever again. Naturally they're in Texas right now and TX is Cedar/Juniper Capitol of the country.

He needs to get the hell out of Texas if he knows what's good for him. I know it's warm in Texas, but he's gotta pick: Live in Texas and have chronic cedarfever, or move to another warm place where you know the allergies won't kick your ass.

The decision was made after Drainman, of Disturbed, “lost his voice at an outdoor gig in Corpus Christi last (Tuesday) night.

“The cold front blew in during their set. He could have played a (not 100 percent quality) show, but he wanted to deliver his normal show. So he is resting his vocal cords for three

Okay that makes sense. I would have thought that it was his cedarfever again, since when I think of Texas I normally don't imagine cold enough weather to set off someone that could have major post-nasal drip in the cold. xD

Honestly everyone I know the cold front makes sense for losing a voice (I sing as well), but just in general, David needs to do something about his voice.

Before I get flamed, David is my favorite singer ever so I'm not here to bash him. It seems as if every tour cycle goes by, his voice keeps getting worse and worse in general. Ive since some vids of Ten Thousand Fists from some recent MaaW shows and, to put it simple, they are bad. They haven't even been playing Stricken at there recent shows, probably cause it would kick the shit out of David's voice. He is losing his grit and his voice keeps cracking a lot more often.

One of the problems is like Bound2Fate said, is that they are touring WAY too much for David too keep up. He is getting older and the singing he does is NOT easy by any means. Unfortanely, they its hard for them to "tour" less because many large festival tours have many dates (like 5 or 6 shows a week, some 3 in a row, for 2 months) and a festival organization is not gonna want a band that wants to tour less, as this would bring is less money. Its all about money.

After the Asylum cycle, David should honestly just go to Melissa Cross (his voice teacher, she is VERY good) and practice his ASS off for a few months. Not a few days, I'm talking months!!!!!

Like I said I'm not here to bash David, I just want to make sure my favorite singer doesn't destroy his voice.

this scares me a little.....(i sing as well...lol...) and nothing kicks the shit out of you more than allergies.....it would totally suck if he couldn't sing anymore.....maybe this break will do him some good;)

so let me get this straight...they're putting a pause on the tour and continuing in 3 weeks?

Too much touring...i mean too many concerts in a short period of time. His voice is fragile now.

God, what bad news to wake up to in the morning.

I hope he'll be ok!!!!! please keep us updated

I had tickets to the San Antonio show, and when I learned that Disturbed had backed out because of David's voice (after I arrived at the venue, but before they let anyone inside), I decided that it would be better to get a refund than to not see the band I drove 600 miles to see (yes, I am crazy...but San Antonio was the closest they were coming to me on the Weapon 5 tour). They're coming to me, so to speak, in August for Mayhem, so I'm just going to go to that show instead.

The important thing now is that David rest his voice so he can be 100% when the tour resumes.

And yes, it is damn cold in Texas. I left Oklahoma City early to avoid a snowstorm there, and while it's cold there as well, there's no snow here in San Antonio...just cold.

So is he going to be okay! Is this just a cold or much more serious!

Whatever it is, it's affected David's voice. I get laryngitis from time to time, and it's because I either catch a cold (and it goes straight to my vocal chords), or I'm overusing my voice (this happens to me a lot because I talk for a living). I've had air conditioning dry out my vocal chords to the point of not being able to speak, so I can see how performing outside in cold weather could have done this to David. The main thing now is for David to rest his voice so the band can continue to tour.

I'm sure more information is coming. We'll just have to be patient.

in his case i think it's both : the cold air and the overuse

when we have a sore and hoarse throat doesn't mean much, we just speak less, but for a singer it's inconvenient, because that's the thing he needs, to have a clean voice
i think that's all there is to it

he just needs to rest and he will be fine, i'm sure

Why didn't they make a facebook or website post? You have to hear it from random fans and are left wondering if it's true! Hope he feels better soon. The Mayhem schedule looks hectic.

Life in his house is going to be fun. He's going to be texting Lena for EVERYTHING! It sucks that he's down, that's for sure. I hope he gets to feeling better soon. And I REALLY hope he's at 100% by this summer.

you know what i was thinking....i think the injection overdose he got a few months ago really messed with his immune system, which led to this
