Seen a few different people mentioning this rumor on a few different sites over the weekend. Has anyone heard anything about this? This would be devastating, I cant even bear the thought.... :(

There has been nothing in all the places I check for news on the band that indicates that the band is breaking up. They're in it for the long haul.

first of all, calm down

second of all, the reason why this break between albums will be a little longer is that David is getting married - so he most likely wants to enjoy a few months of just being with Lena. Also, good thing for his voice.

David is saying that until the next album there's going to be a while (and there WILL be a next album), also, as Disturbed, as a band, they have some projects in mind that they want to do and release till winter.
And he gets asked about solo projects and he responds that Disturbed takes all of their time so there's no need for anything solo - and also, that they work amazing together.

And David has said it himself in some earlier interviews (i think i've actually seen one a few weeks ago) that they are in it for the long haul, like GuiltyPleasures said.

So to answer your question - no, they are not.
