Um... are you sure it's number 5 right now? Cause what it looks like is "Animal" by Neon Trees is number 5 and "The Animal" by Disturbed is at number 16. At least that's according to the rock charts on billboard.com. If I'm truly wrong, send me to the site that confirms that "The Animal" is at number 5.

But even on billboard.com, it's slowly on its way up the charts. It would be awsome if it hit number 1! I don't listen to the radio very often, but when I do, I'm gonna request The Animal as often as I can!

Wikipedia.net thats what it says. Its 16 on the ROCK Charts yes but, its #5 on the MAINSTREAM Rock Chart.

It's in #3 now. It only needs less than 20 more plays to beat the next in line, then over 150 to beat Three Days Grace.

I'm kind of glad it beat Isolation. I like Alter Bridge, but that's just not a good song. Porn Star Dancing is terrible, and Sex is Good is average blues-rock revival. World So Cold isn't TDG's best work in my opinion. It's had its run. The Animal has no reason not to make #1.

The OP mistook the Active Rock charting (which had The Animal at #5 at the time of posting) for the Mainstream Rock Tracks (World So Cold by TDG is currently on top while The Animal peaked at 3). Active Rock is a different radio-format chart entirely (though I don't know what the difference is).

For the Rock Songs chart, The Animal peaked at 13 and fell last week to 14. Unless we're talking about Active Rock, I don't think this counts yet as a #1 single.
