In a recent interview with Santa Rosa, California’s 101.7 The Fox, Disturbed vocalist David Draiman revealed that the band will be bringing back their Music As A Weapon tour next year (you can watch the entire interview above). However, he had more to add than just that.

Draiman stated that:

“We’ll be doing two legs of Music As A Weapon after the New Year with a lineup that I cannot yet reveal. But just know that what I should say is the co-headliner for the tour is massive. And it’s going to be appearing in a union that I think hard rock and heavy metal fans have been wanting to happen for awhile. It has happened before, but only in brief stints. Now it’s gonna happen for the duration of a two-leg-long tour. And we’re gonna join forces with a leviathan. And we’re really looking forward to it.”

So the fact that they have a lineup set in stone, but can’t yet reveal it, has got us curious. Granted, many of you may not really give a crap, but if some early rumors are true then this could be pretty awesome. Thus, we put our heads to use and thought up of a list of bands and reasons why they may or may not be Disturbed’s possible co-headliners.

Check out who we came up with after the jump.

Rammstein: The PRP reported unconfirmed rumors that these guys are the co-headliners. Their recently announced first U.S. show in a decade might be proof that they are making plans of a bigger return to the states. It also, though, means it is unlikely that they would go on an arena tour after just announcing the show (can’t risk ticket sales). And they’d have to tone down the pyrotechnics, which would be like a band that plays arenas playing a club show.

Avenged Sevenfold: They’ve proven that the two make a good package together at the 2006 Ozzfest and recently with the Uproar Tour. But since Uproar Tour has’’t even finished yet, it’s still too soon for Disturbed and A7X to tour again, at least for it to be even remotely considered “special.”

Korn: Still fresh off of Mayhem Fest, Korn are still in the promo cycle for their latest album Korn III: Remember Who You Are and have yet to reveal future touring plans. The combo of the nu-metal titans would a pretty huge package for the JNCO jeans crowd.

Mastodon: He did say they’d be joining forces with a “leviathan.” And they’ve toured together on the first Mayhem Fest. Then again, they’ve been on the road for a while.

Godsmack: Both are hard rock staples on mainstream radio. The pairing fits pretty well. Although, their current tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Drowning Pool is likely hitting the same markets the Music As A Weapon tour will be, thus making it unlikely.

Limp Bizkit: Draiman said that it’s a package that fans have been “wanting to happen for awhile,” and no one wants to see Bizkit, even with another band. So this ain’t happening…at least I hope.

Lamb Of God: They’ve been known to be the perfect co-headliners for many bands, from Slayer to Ozzy, and their stint at Mayhem Fest saw them opening for Korn and Rob Zombie. A Disturbed/Lamb Of God tour would be odd, but definitely interesting. Only implausible thing is that they will be on the road outside the States with Metallica until November and they’ve already expressed interest in getting back into the studio to record a new album.

Rob Zombie: Similar reasons as Korn. Plus, his upcoming tour with Alice Cooper is only hitting selected, smaller market, cities. Thus, a larger tour could definitely be in the cards for Zombie.

Alice In Chains: Unlikely, since they are in the midst of a Fall tour with The Deftones and Mastodon that is hitting the same markets the Music As A Weapon tour likely would.

I hope it's Lamb of God. I know it won't be, but that'd be so good.

A Disturbed-Rammstein tour is a dream-tour..both are my favourite bands and it would be great for metal fans to see such madness. Both are bands that, i think, are best apreciated on their home-continent, both have the best frontmen in the world, and both kick ass!
But i don't think Disturbed have toured in the past with Rammstein so it doesn't fit the condition...
The list is a bit stupid..it has Limp Bizkit who have no chance but they don't have Slipknot but it doesn't matter...since David is talking about a leviathan it's pretty clear it's not a band of the same age as Disturbed i think.

For a pure emotional standpoint, I would like to see Staind team up with Disturbed....Sometimes i like a little acoustic rock thrown in the mix of some hard hitting tunes...lol. That's just me.
