Of all the webisodes that have been released, John hasnt been mentioned or seen in the recording process. Do you think John wasnt involved in recording or came in way late due to schedule conflicts? Or even worse, do we have a new bassist?

Those webisodes aren't recent. The earliest one seems to take place around the beginning of the recording process, back in February of 2014, shortly after Dan, Mike and David met and decided to start writing material together. Around that time John was playing in Adrenaline Mob and that supergroup called The Foundry with Blaze Bayley and A. J. Pero (R.I.P).

Also during 2014, he had to record that debut album with Art of Anarchy, and he was also asked to record bass on Geoff Tate's debut album, The Key as a part of the Operation: Mindcrime line-up.

He had the most projects of anyone. It'd be asking a lot to just drop them all.

Thanks for the info.

I just think it'd be weird if John wasnt included in the process.

In the lyric booklet with the album, it states that Donegan recorded all the Bass tracks for the album

That is extremely unusual. I guess this album was easy for John, considering he have to do anything.

He probably couldn't be there for recording, but he'll there for concerts. And lookie here, I went to his twitter and found this link from 16th of august

Sunday morning Disturbed jam. That's right while you are nursing your hangover we are at the church of metal!

Here's a picture of the personnel liner notes where John is absent and it says Dan wrote the bass lines: https://imgur.com/97Yss7n

Interesting development.  Wonder if he'll be in music videos etc.  Wonder if he'll get any royalties from Immortalized.  Wonder if he contributed at all in any way.  I know he'll be on tour with them, though, obviously.

John's name has never appeared in writing credits as listed on ASCAP since he joined. Immortalized credits everything (except "The Sound of Silence," of course) to Draiman, Donegan, Wengren, and producer Kevin Churko. (Churko is also credited as a co-writer on the Ozzy albums he worked on.) He probably kept busy with other projects during the whole album process. I don't know that he'd get royalties if he neither wrote nor played on it; I'm guessing that his pay has always been handled differently than that of the founding members.

if you watched the webisodes they said he was in san diago (or something) and were bouncing things back and forth. he was indeed involved, but could not officially record them.

I don't think so.  In fact, I just rewarched the webisodes to be sure and they don't even mention John at any point, or show him.

I don't have my Disturbed collection with me to verify this, but I'm pretty sure John was credited in both Indestructible and Asylum.  I know he wasn't during TTF because they were "breaking him in" as it were.

I honestly do think it's a possibility that he probably just didn't contribute to writing this record.  It's not very hard to imagine.
