here's my list of things they should do.

More Bass solos, make them a little longer
Drum solos like the Judas Priest Cover "Livin After Midnight"
More Longer songs like Asylum
better and wicked Guitar Solos
maybe more Acoustic Guitars played in some songs
David doing more screams in songs like in The Sickness
Maybe more Covers
Have Dan, Mike & John like "Inside The Fire" to do a another solo Tag
More gang vocals
More Electric sounds too.

I basically agree with 7 out of those 10 suggestions!

I like the idea of a little more gang vocals and electric sounds like in Serpentine and Deciever (it had a little bit of it in the chorus if you listen and I love it). Definitely like the idea of acoustic gituars mixed in with it; that'd be awsome. YEAH more bass solos- John just rocks on em! More wicked guitar solos would be awsome, but most of Danny's solos are wicked in their own 'Dan Donegan' way, you know? :)

Covers are fun, would like to see what they can turn into their own, but is it just me or do they seem to pick a cover for their album on every other record? It's just what I've noticed in the current pattern right now.

Love to see a little bit more of those, but who knows what they'll come up with next. I'll still love their next album, no matter what they do. ;)

I've actually been putting together my own list of stuff I want to see (it's pretty similar in format to your's).

Bass soloing/playing different chord from guitar
Faster/heavier Bass
More rapid-fire drum sections/fills/rolls
Groove/thrash/speed-metal riffing
Guitar-soloing and mini-soling present over entire song
Unhinged, highly technical/intricate, longer guitar solos
Guitar-soloing with/over singing
End songs with guitar solos
More high notes in singing
More gang vocals
Balance between cryptic and direct lyrics
Believe-like melody
Sickness-like aggression
TTF-like inspirational/uplifting tunes
Asylum-like balance

I agree with you both there, but i want their next album to be as long like in Ten Thousand Fists. mostly David better get back into The Sickness melody, yes i know he trying his best to sing as good like in The sickness, he should do vocal paractice like James Hetfield is doing when he mistakenly blew his vocals out back in 1993, and James sound as better as before! That's the whole idea right there.

^ agreed with the lists above, especially about the more gang vocals. According to David's twiter, they only did gang vocals in ONE song in Asylum, but he won't say which song it was xD

Anyways, I hope the next album will be "happier" compared to the last two albums, sorta like TFF, that was full of positive energy. With David's upcoming wedding, I'm pretty sure David can channel the happy energy to give us another kick-ass album.

And, not that I don't like The Guy, but I do want to see more interesting album covers like Believe.

That's the vibe I've been getting too. David seems better these days, and Mike said a while back that the last album seems to have healed him. I'm predicting a lighter, more empowering album this time around like TTF with hints of Indestructible.

When I read Revolver's review of Asylum, they predicted the same thing.

I agree. i want an album more positive.

and the thing they need to change or evolve is the structure of the songs.
i mean..change the verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, etc.
i wish like two solos in a song or two chorus in a song, or no chorus at all.
all these in songs of more than 5 minutes...

longer songs definitelyi also want alot of the softer vocal songs like the verses in remembermore epic melodic choruses like The nightmaybe a collaboration with another band as a b-side
more songs, like 14 or 15 (excluding b sides)electronic based songs like facade or The gamemaybe 2 different choruses (also i think on "3" there are 2 choruses)and lastly i have always been a fan of music that makes me think so i david to go back to the cryptic lyrics like Believe. i find it better to listen to when i dont know wtf they are talking about with the first few listens lol then that epiphany you get when you figure it out :D

Actually, pretty much every album, except Believe. Granted, the covers don't always make the album, but they're always recorded for the album.

The Sickness - Shout2000
Ten Thousand Fists - Land of Confusion
Indestructible - Midlife Crisis
Asylum - Ishfwilf & Living After Midnight

I've got no doubt we'll hear our share of covers throughout Disturbed's career

As for what I want from the next album... Hmmmm....

For one, less "storytelling" and more of the concept shit from The Sickness and Believe. Go for interpretive meaning, opposed to literal. I've missed the contrived sense of charm that can be derived from the early records because of this. Nowadays Disturbed songs simply take themselves a bit too seriously. If you appreciate Down With the Sickness, you know what I mean. The song was serious in its own right, but it also just has this silliness about it. Most of the early stuff did, but that's the best example.

Well, ever since Ten Thousand Fists (arguably even Believe, in some songs), that's been pretty much gone. Replaced by technical prowess in the musicianship and melodies. A mix of both would be much appreciated.

I would also like to see a few less guitar solos. They were great in Ten Thousand Fists, but it seemed as though they had a lot of growing to do. That was achieved in Indestructible, where they came out in full force, and they were good, and they were relevant to the song, and enhanced its vibe. But I felt they had little place in Asylum. It was good in Remnants, to establish the album's mood that way. But, to me, many of the songs could have gone without (and some even could have benefited from the lack of) guitar solos. The immediate example that pops into my head is 3, in which I felt the guitar solo could have been removed or replaced with something else.

I'll think of more and post again later. This is all I got right now, it being 1:30 AM.
