Contrary to what the Events tab on Disturbed's facebook says, the show lasted from 7-11. There were a lot of empty seats and the floor wasn't even full, even though the box office said it was sold out. They had tons of security, township police, even a K9 unit! Not sure why because I think Disturbed's fans are often sterotyped as being rowdy, when usually it is parents with their kids!
It was the first time I saw In This Moment. They were ok, but like someone said before, too much screaming. The girl tried to get the people in the pit to run in a circle while she sand The Gun Show, but security broke them up. It was disappointing. They were trying to get the crowd involved, but either people didn't like them, or security wouldn't allow it.
This was also the first time I saw Sevendust. They were pretty good. I don't know any of their songs, but they had a lot of fans in the crowd and they were very interactive with the crowd.
Disturbed was next. They were great, as usual. I saw them at Uproar and it seemed like they had a lot more energy at this one. David really interacted with the crowd. Our seats were close so when he would walk out on the platform, he was right there! Dan and John were also very interactive. David even made it a point to yell at a guy in the front row of the pit who was playing video games. David told him it was ok if he wasn't there to see Disturbed, but it was very disrespectful for him to be that close playing video games. Show some respect!!! He told security if they saw him playing again to kick him out. LOL! (Yeah right!) I took pictures and some video clips of the show, but I don't remember the order of the setlist, but I think I remember all the songs: Asylum, The Game, Inside The Fire, The Animal, Prayer, Liberate, Another Way To Die, 10,000 Fists, Stupify, Stricken, Indestructible, Down With The Sickness. I think the band had more energy at MAAW than they did at UPROAR; but then again it was almost 100 degrees at UPROAR and I can't blame them! We wish the set could have been longer at MAAW. I don't know if they play longer when they close the show or not, but we would have liked to hear some more from The Sickness album. We really liked the medley they played at UPROAR. I would have loved to hear Remember or Want. My boyfriend wanted to hear Conflict and Meaning of Life.
Korn was last. I didn't really pay much attention when they were on. The crowd was definitely more into them than Disturbed. Maybe it's just our demographic. Not sure. I was a little annoyed at people smoking dope during their set. That also made me ready to leave early. The security was so concerned with preventing people from moshing, that they didn't pay attention to the drugs - which is crazy being that Pennsylvania is a smoke-free state. Indoor smoking is not allowed. Anyway, it seemed like Korn played a really long time, and the crowd was rockin'. It was Jonathan Davis' birthday. He barely talked to the crowd though like the other bands. He pretty much just ran through all the songs. There was a long delay before Chutes & Ladders. My boyfriend got impatient and yelled, "David doesn't take that long of a break!" I don't know what he was doing, but maybe it takes him that long to get the bagpipes ready. Not sure. They did a really long medley at the end, which consisted of most of their hits and even had parts of One by Metallica and We Will Rock You.
All in all, MAAW was great. I hope the rest of you have a great time at the shows you are going to!
