hey everyone

most of the mods and admins probably know about this already, but I figured I'd still post here to get some input..

I'll be 'vloggin' my MAAW5 experience from trip start, to the show, to trip end, and slappin' it up on youtube. (obviously I won't record FULL songs, etc.)

Anywho, anyone who's seen my videos knows I'm in need of a camera upgrade.

Here's a few I was looking at..
Canon PowerShot SD3500IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera
or
Canon PowerShot SD780 IS

to get to the point, anyone here able to recommend a solid battery life, 720p widescreen video taking, decent picture taking camera that's pocket sized?

i know that sounds like a lot, but it isn't...Thanks for any help!!

Can you afford the Canon EOS 550 ? Or the U.S. version the Rebel T2i? Best Budget DSLR... you can record better videos than using a flip usb camcorder.

Those cameras are too pricey for me, and also they're too big.

I'm looking for something pocket sized.

anything larger than, say, a cellphone camera or a small video camera (I have a JVC mini DV video camera), might not be allowed into the venue. Anything larger would require a press pass. Hmmm, maybe you could go that route?

I can't really recommend a good quality, good value video camera. My digital camera takes videos, but they take up too much room on the mini SD card, and I'll not be able to take still pictures (and I'd rather do that anyway)...

I hope you find what you're looking for.

Good pictures! and the only major flaw in video is the fact that it's not 720p widescreen.

I have an easy share camera, too.... Mine's the C-190 12 megapixel 5X zoom... Good pictures, pretty good video. They sell them at Walmart, but I bought mine from a friend who had a similar camera already. The picture I had taken with John Moyer was taken with that camera.

Don't worry about the widescreen problem for now. There's ways to fix that afterwards.
First you can make it widescreen in editing. But, if you can't manage that, there's a code which you can put in your tags on youtube after you've uploaded the video that will make it widescreen. You can ask me for it if you need it.

So that's one less problem you need to worry about.
I dunno too much about cameras, so yeah I dunno man.

Ah, feel free to send me your magic code..perhaps I'll try it.

But i'm looking for something nicer, ya know?
