I wrote this last year, but I never got around to putting a tune to them (don't know how). Anyways, thought you guys might like it...

Sacred

The swirling darkness approaches
Sly grins and red eyes
Tendrils wrapping around us
Full of haunting lies

It rears its head - the beast
Do we stand or do we fall?

Blood runs through our hands
Don't give in to the demands
Fight and see the darkness fall
Come and answer the light's call
Look around the shattered world
Falling to the Underworld
But the light will shine through
We are sacred

Hate has eaten through us
Black wings, these dark hours
Our souls being consumed
Sapping all our powers

How many times have we fallen?

So much emotion/feeling put into one poem. I like it.
