I've always been a big Dio fan, and I've always thought the band never got the credit it deserved. Then I thought, I bet there are a lot of people who like bands they think or know are underappreciated, underrespected, or just lack recognition in history or in today's music scene.

i would have to say sirenia they are a great band who don't get the recognition they deserve.

Anvil is a band that never got the credit or recognition it deserved. Most people have never even heard of them. I had never heard of them until they went on That Metal Show and I saw the previews for their movie.

I listen to countless bands outside the mainstream that will never be recognized. Part of the reason I do this is BECAUSE they're outside of the normal boundaries of society's musical standards.

P.S. Raise you right hand if you think Beastie Boys is the worst thing you've ever heard. *raises hand* (I'd rather listen to cats dying.)
