Hey all, I have just joined after receiving the link, and the link alone in a message on youtube :)
I am 27 and I have been following Disturbed since about a year after "The Sickness" was released. Saw them on their Believe tour in the UK (Manchester Academy) and was blessed to be able to see them, and meet them out back on their Indestructible tour when they came back to the UK in October 08'. Cannot wait to see them again.
David Draiman's lyrics have always been an inspiration to me throughout the years I have been listening to anything they put out. I have enjoyed listening with someone with such a similar outlook on life to me. Lyrics are always an integral part to my reasons for listening or not listening to a bands music, so as you can gather, Disturbed are up there, right at the top of my favourite bands list. I was even (not in a crazy way) helped at times during my breakdown by the lyrics, and have always found release when listening to them.
Song's that I love for the before mentioned reasons are:
Fear
Conflict
Rise
Darkness
Just Stop
I'm Alive
Haunted
Perfect Insanity
And last, but NOT least...DIVIDE...lyrics of which I feel the planet should take on board!
