The topic title says it all. Disturbed did an amazing job covering fade to black but i was a little disappointed when they ONLY did half of the song. well, anyways i think they should cover master of puppets and ACTUALLY do the whole song. no means to put down disturbed but just a thought.

I've stated before that the only way that Disturbed could do a Metallica cover is if they brought in another guitarist which just won't happen.

I personally think they shouldn't people have been doing Metallica covers for forever like Hoemmed said there are plenty of good bands out there.

I agree with Hoemmed I would want to hear them cover another band they already did metallica

They covered a great Metallica song so i think they should do another band.

I would like for their to be a studio version of their Fade to Black cover, and to include the solo at the end this time. Fade to Black is my favourite Metallica song and i think it would do it justice.

However, i think they should do a different band. Covering the same band more than once is never a good idea.

Um, how bout they don't cover Metallica or anyone else. Disturbed has plenty of songs that they don't need to cover another band. Maybe Metallica should cover Disturbed...

Yeah, maybe. I might actually like Unforgiven in that case. Right now, it's one of my least favorite Metallica songs.

really? i like it a lot... because of the song's message it just fits Disturbed i think...plus David's beautiful voice would shine in the song

I think maybe I don't care for it because the radio stations played it (and still play it and other Metallica songs) waaay too much. I kinda burned out on Metallica a long time ago.

I still think Metallica should cover Disturbed. That might be interesting.

I want to hear Dave sing "The Day That Never Comes" or either of the "Unforgivens" I/II.

III was good but not the vox I'm looking for from Dave.... not that he can't do it, but just the vox from the first two would seem to work REALLY well with him. But, like stated; they need 2 guitarists. And I don't feel like worshipping anyone else but Dan(besides Glenn anyways). Also, Dave and the rest of the band work really well together as they are now. I don't want the chance of messing them up by adding another member.

they did fade to black live so it dosn't count as a cover like Land of confusion is. they should put a Metallica cover on the next album. something from master of puppets or ride the lightning and justice for all. no black load reload or st anger. death magnetic yes.

^I'm sorry but they lack the numbers for just HALF of the DM album. Black album would be a little wierd but probably most suited for them. Master of Puppets? Possibly but not likely. Ride the Lightning? Not suited for them. Load and Reload had King Nothing and Unforgiven II but that's all I know from that. Both of which I think Disturbed could do really well. ...And Justice For All? No clue. I don't really know too much off of that album but Harvester of Sorrow would not work for Disturbed. One's a little hard to imagine but very doable. Kill 'Em All? Too thrashy for Disturbed. I stayed away from St. Anger so can't say too much about that.

Basically; you can't just look for what was good from Metallica. If you're expecting a cover, you have to think about what would work for that particular band.

i know that but most of Metallica's stuff past black is not dark enough for a cover by Disturbed. now that i think of it "The God That Failed" on black would actually be a really good one for them to cover.
