First of all: Hello. I'm Aro, your resident English male with "Disturbed" tattooed across my forearm.

Anyway, I was reading some pages and came across a bunch of old Disturbed Demo tracks, which consist of Early demo's of Meaning of Life, Stupify, Divide and Down With The Sickness (If anyone is aware of any other real Disturbed demo tracks, I'd be grateful if you directed me to them). On top of these, I came across some more tracks, but I have my serious doubts that they are by the same musicians as the Disturbed group we all know and love.

The tracks I'm referring to are as follows:

Can't Hold Back
Indifferent
Decisions
Get Away
Control
Restrained

The rules of the forum would frown upon this topic if I were to post the link where I came across those tracks, so I'll just post this instead.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Plenty of comments state that it is the same Disturbed that we know and is in-fact David Draiman singing, but I have my serious doubts about that.

Is anybody able to confirm whether or not this band is the same Disturbed we know or some old Punk Rock band that shared the same name? I feel pretty bad for even asking this question, but if it is Draiman, Donnegan, Kmak/Moyer and Wrengren I'll be kicking myself for not keeping the tracks.

Thanks in Advance.

The guy

- Aro

There was once an old punk band by the name of Disturbed. You can even find one of their songs on iTunes if you look.

Also, watch out for a certain thrash metal band called Disturbed.

I thought as much. Thanks for the confirmation.

How about the genuine Disturbed Demo tracks? I have only found four that I am aware of, if there are any more I'd be grateful for directions to them.

I think i heard of that band. I remember hearing their songs on youtube. I thought they kind of sucked. But never post a comment about it. I had people like jumping down my throat about it wow

Well the tracks that I listed from the Punk Disturbed band were awful, which is why I'm glad to hear that it's not the same Band. Brawl's demo tracks are good though.

The comments on that video are so bad... Let me just clear up any confusion.
Disturbed, as we all know, were initially called Brawl. This is when they had Eric as a singer. The bands Pantera influence really shines through on Brawl's demos which you can easily look up on YouTube. Eric's voice is clearly influenced by Phil Anselmo so he doesn't sound anything like that punk bands singer. Draiman, as we all know, asked the band to play original material when he auditioned for Disturbed. The first song they ever played was "Want". They never would have played punk music. Donegan and Fuzz were in a band called Vandal before Brawl even which was metal with ripping solos. They NEVER would have played punk rock music!!

This one idiot on that video said something like "Yeah Disturbed started as a hardcore punk band". This comment is just too stupid to rant about :|

Brawl sound like Pantera rather than Disturbed (Aside from the Circles Demo which is very similar to Divide), but they consisted of some of the same members Disturbed has today, I doubt if you listened to say, 'Confusion' you'd of known it was Disturbed on the spot if you didn't already know their history, so there's no need to try to be funny.

I was just asking for confirmation since a fair number of you (undoubtedly) know more about the band than I do (even considering I know a great share).

Edit: MMEggman beat me to it.

its not his voice you would be able to pick it out anywhere u could just hear him sing and say yup thats david singing alright very destincted voice david has and yes those demos of stupify and the rest were made available as early demo tapes you could buy them once but not any more cause there collectible items word to the wise everyone looking to get special editions when released in the future get them the moment they are released cause if you wait a few years they will be harder to come by and alot more expense i once saw the limited edition of indestructible on ebay go for $200 no lie
