Personaly, I love the song but dislike the video. I dont know what these boys are doing but it reminds me of a Nickelback or My Darkest Days video. Dont get me wrong, what man doesnt want to live this kinda life? But this looks like a hiphop video.

I agree wtf were they thinking this video is not good at all and it also reminds me of a straight up hip hop video.

YOU ARE SOO RIGHT!! Look at this video and then look at their other videos. Their something that happened during that time to take this direction. The Video looks stupid and we all know Disturbed would never do a video like this at all.

this video reflects the album art. I get the idea that "fortune and fame wont change me" but it fails completely. though, i love the start when he slaps the director. then it went downhill from there. and... its Ivan wearing eye liner?!

If I read the article correctly, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it's a video that's supposed to take a sarcastic view of all of the cliches in music videos these days. Ivan even says so in the article.

"We wanted to hit a pretty sarcastic tone with it, so it looks like a typical big cock rock video, but in a tongue in cheek way. We put all the “big-time video” clichés in it except for the booty shake… or maybe we even got that, I don’t remember. We do have the party scenes, cars, airplanes, mansions, pools and girls—of course you can’t have a raaawwwk video without your token pool scene. Also, it’s shot from a behind-the-scenes perspective where you can actually see the director ‘trying’ to direct our music video. He is running in and out of the frames, posing the band, trying to make us act a certain way, which is pretty typical of most video shoots and it always annoys the hell out of the bands. It’s an interesting angle the fans never get to see, and adds to the sarcasm of the whole clip. We just wanted to have fun with it, and actually it ended up being a blast and more of a party than a stressful video shoots. Maybe we'll shoot part two for this [Laughs]."

I feel that the video hit the sarcasm mark, but I would have gone a different direction- which I'm sure we all would have done to be honest. Everyone has a different vision of what they think a video should look like. It all depends on what you see play out as you listen to the lyrics.

yeah. and of course everyone knows the bands hate doing videos and would rather play the music for the fans anyhow

Very true. Most bands hate shooting videos. But, at the same time, it's a necessary evil because videos expose to a wider demographic, which is what they want in the end. They want their music to reach people.

I also think it's interesting to see how the band themselves interprets their own music visually.
