Foo Fighters fans that are sick of reading worthless news about Dave Grohl going pumpkin hunting with his infant are in for a treat. In a brand new interview with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Grohl shared all sorts of interesting tidbits about the band’s upcoming plans, ranging from just announced UK stadium dates to their next studio album.

The shows will take place on July 2nd and 3rd, 2011 at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes and feature the Foo Fighters playing alongside some other very big names. Scottish alt-rockers Biffy Clyro, who regularly fill arenas in Europe, will be on the bill for both nights, while Death Cab for Cutie and Jimmy Eat World will also play support on separate nights. Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 5th.

As for the Foo Fighters’ next album, Grohl confirmed the band has already completed seven songs with producer Butch Vig. He described the untitled effort as the group’s “heaviest work to date,” with “no acoustic guitars at all.” The album will also feature a few rather high-profile guests, as Grohl noted former Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould appears on a track called “Dear Rosemary”, while former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic plays on at least one song.

And if all that weren’t enough, Grohl said the Foo Fighters are documenting the entire recording process for an upcoming film. So, yeah, the man isn’t lying when he told Lowe, “2011, you’re not gonna be able to get us out of your hair.”
