Okay guys in my search to get all disturbed songs in 320kbps and/or flac, i came across this torrent with apparently all b-sides in flac. I have the site and i was wondering if anyone can confirm it for me. I don't understand how it is possible (its a torrent). I downloaded it fully and it sounds legit. In addition i found a rapidshare file of Leave It Alone in flac form. since that was an iTunes B-side I didn't think that was possible either... could someone explain this for me? thanks fro all replies

Yeah I know what flac is thats not my question. Do you think they could be true flac music? especially with rare tracks Glass Shatters and Midlife Crisis (cover)...

If every single song is the same volume and same clarity, especially the older songs, then it a true rip from a source disk, otherwise its just mp3 files in multiple kbps that were converted to flac.
If you don't mind, could you PM me that file link so I can confirm it. I have every b-side in 256kbps mp3....a few of them lower than that.

You can use audiochecker to see if the flacs are really lossless or transcodes.

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo, see supported devices) just like you would an MP3 file.

FLAC stands out as the fastest and most widely supported lossless audio codec, and the only one that at once is non-proprietary, is unencumbered by patents, has an open-source reference implementation, has a well documented format and API, and has several other independent implementations.
