Immortalized
.
David Draiman of Disturbed stopped by yesterday. I am so jealous he's settled down in Austin, TX. It's a city I would like to retire to. Great weather, great people, great food and great music! And no state income tax! David told me the band will start rehearsals tomorrow in Chicago and their first show is Aug 13th at Sturgis, just prior to heading to Minneapolis to rehearse with their full stage production. The "toys" they are bringing on this tour, he said, are bigger and more outrageous than anything they've ever done (or any other band has done for that matter!!!) Looking forward to seeing the opening night of the RockStar Uproar Tour!!!

"The production for this touring cycle is turning out to be really, really amazing, really impressive," he said. "I can't really give away too much, but I will say that it is a aspect that no one has ever seen from DISTURBED live — very theatrical, very dramatic, very visually stimulating — so we're very much looking forward to letting people see a DISTURBED performance they've never seen before."

it's a pity im on this side of the Atlantic but those who are going seem like they have a lot to look forward to

I would LOVE to go to the show in Sturgis, but August 13th is the last day of an intersession class I'm taking starting next week... but I'll be in Tulsa on Sept. 8th to see the big show!

Besides backdrops and David in his "Silence of the Lambs" get-up, I've never really seen any of Disturbed's "toys". I'll miss out on Uproar, but any chance we might see them in their own tour or perhaps, (hopefully), MAAW V?

Correction on the date.. They are performing at the Sioux Empire Fair, Aug 12th, the day before Sturgis

Im thinking he should re-vamp the get-up this time around. Make it very... Asylumy. Im picturing more torn clothing , possibly the destruction of a stage piece to symbolize 'breaking into the Asylum'.

Keep in mind that in multiple interviews the band really wanted to open with Remnants and Asylum. This might mean that David will have a different role in the intro of the concert.

All just theories tho The Guy
