I am FROM Norway..! These guys are a freakin' satanic! It is a bit too mutch for me, but they are amazing musicians! Great instrumentals, and the vocalists are great too. I mean, it is really hard to sing black metal, so they have talent!

Awesome albums: Armada (2006), Kolossus (2008), Reptilian (2010)
They started as a Black Metal band in 1995, but left the confinements of the genre considering themselves Epic Extreme Metal now. Amazing musicians. Great vocals. Quite progressive.

Immortal
They impressively returned on the scene in 2009 with All Shall Fall.
Also check out their album Sons Of Northern Darkness - regarded by many as their best album next to the classic Pure Holocaust.

Satyricon
My favorite album here: Nemesis Divina.

Emperor has been mentioned already. They are legendary.
