Every so often, David will slip a Hebrew word into the lyrics--Pain Redefined, for example has the word "elochai" which I understand to mean "my God" or "dear God".
And sometimes, he'll put a word in there that has me diving for the dictionary-- in Facade, the line is "obdurate and obstinate"... I always thought those two words were interchangable, because both mean "stubborn", but different degrees of stubborness. Obdurate is basically stubborn to the point of danger or harm.
You're right in thinking that a lot of what David sings isn't on the lyrics sheet included with the CDs. That's true of a lot of artists I've been acquainted with over the years. Record companies either print the wrong lyrics deliberately or leave certain aspect of the lyrics out. How do you include any of David's growls and other vocalizations in the lyrics as printed?
And I've noticed that some of the spoken parts of some of the songs are not included, as if they aren't lyrics. They're just as much a part of the song, say Liberate, as anything that's sung.
FYI: CrowX does include lyrics for every song under the Albums thread. Go to whatever album the song you want is on and the lyrics are usually the very first post.
