1 Disturbed not on Dimebag tribute album on Wed 16 Dec 2009, 06:12

A tribute album to Dimbag Darrell Abbott is being given away with the 200th issue of Metal Hammer (released today). Disturbed isn't among the artists involved. Instead, Avenged Sevenfold is doing "Walk".

I love A7X, but their Walk cover is awful. Not to mention a band like Five Finger Death Punch (who's opened for Disturbed) is involved, but not the band who the Abbott brothers personally played the cover with.

Easy explanation. Disturbed never recorded their cover version of Walk. Avenged Sevenfold did. The record company is lazy, so they decided to just put the recorded track instead of asking Disturbed to do theirs. Also, people dont know you play a song unless its on one of your albums usually.

In other news, I'm psyched that FFDP is involved. Their cover of bad company was amazing

Perfectly said that's why it isn't on that album plus its a shame because Disturbed's Version is way better than Avenged Sevenfolds.

Giving a biest opinion i would say its not true crow, i love disturbed, and i love A7X, and A7X made a great cover, it even sounds close to the original. but disturbed would have make an equally amazing cover, a7x had a cover already made, where disturbed did not, so, like Dylan said, they used a7x cover instead of having disturbed make a whole new one, its simply a matter of a7x being in the right place at the right time.

Well yeah because a7x had a studio version but come on a7x version stinks and even a live version Disturbed did is better imagine a studio version.

Disturbed should record theirs and put it on one of the albums.
