The Gauntlet recently caught up with Disturbed frontman David Draiman who is currently headlining the Music as a Weapon IV tour with Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage, and Chimaira. When we asked David Draiman about the possibility of him finally getting a tattoo, he responded "There is a very high chance that I might. I am thinking of getting one to be honest. I am the only guy in the band and quite possibly metal without one, and that is what kind of makes me wonder if I should cross that line. I have that whole Jewish heritage thing and ink on the skin. There have been several things recently in my life that have compelled me to cross that threshold. I haven't been a practicing Jew for quite some time. It is the last thing I still haven't done. I am not going to be buried in a Jewish cemetery anyway so why do I continue to not do something I have wanted to do for many years."

I think David Is Right If He Wants To Get A Tat Then He Should Tats Are Cool

If he wants one, then you're right, he should get one. I mean, he's old enough to make his own decisions. I, myself, have two. I was young and dumb when I got them. I regret it now. My point? Just make sure it's something you can live with, FOREVER!

He should get one if he wants one. It's his choice and as he says, theres really nothing holding him back now.

That being jewish with ink isn't really... it's a myth.. but for some reasons, a lot of the Jews still believe it.. u still can be buried if u are covered head to toe in ink, in a jewish cemetery.

Well he did say he knows he's not going to be buried in a Jewish cemetary anyway.

I think he actually wants to be buried with the rest of his family. When I saw an interview with him he seemed to indicate that. I feel sorry for him that his family made him sort of an outcast. I always thought it was kinda cool that he never had a tattoo like everyone else in metal. but if he wants one he should get one.

A tat is a turn on to me but in good taste good design and must have a personal touch. Something on the back is cool and anyway you can throw a tee on and hide it!I know people in the music industry love them but if you hang out with family that happen to be anal.......oh god prepare for the bitching and complaining.Good luck to him if he chooses that special tat.

Ya, I have one on my lower upper arm but it small/normal, nothing gaudy. Ya, lady, they outcasted him with Jasmine, but it started way before that..

I would like a tattoo how painful is it getting one? Maybe a small one.....but what kind? Anyone have a tat on the chest?

It depends at time , spot , and how much can you take the pain.

My last tattoo took 7 hours to do it,
After 3 hours the real FUN starts because the natural anaesthetic that your body makes runs out after 3 hours. And then the pain is the real thing.

Also i dont see reason why to just "take a tattoo" , without any meaning for that.

I think I might get a tattoo on my Breast and I want my moms favorite flower so it would be close to my heart since she had passed away I have become obsessed of wanting one and maybe nipple piercing as well I am not able to have kids, don't know.

It would be kind of cool if he did. I have a tat on my breast. Didn't hurt too bad. It's a blue heart.
